Modeling Comp Cards

When our seniors sign up for the Super Model shoot, we can provide a custom modeling comp card. These industry standard cards are 8.5 x 5.5 inches, printed front and back. The front provides a head shot and the model’s name.

The back of the card contains other pictures showing the models other looks and key statistics such as height, size, etc. to leave behind at auditions and interviews. If you book a Super Model shoot, we offer the card creation at $100. We’ll also create an 8×10 head shot along with the comp card in electronic, full resolution format. The great thing about these cards is they are royalty free. You can print as many as you’d like without paying a per print charge. We can help you source print vendors if you need. You are certainly welcome to order through us at our print lab prices.

Inaugural First Photoshoot Post

Since redesigning Seniors@5280 and launching with the combination website/blog, we’ve decided to blog a few photo shoots as they happen, hoping to keep a record over time to help remember places, styles, etc. And, just for the fun of it!

Our first shoot blog was with Ashlee. We not only shot senior pictures, but Ashlee is heading into modeling, full force. She’s one of the most driven teenagers I think I’ve seen in a while. She’s a natural in front of the camera and has a plethora of poses based on the situation. We worked in the studio a bit to get that more magazine-style edge. The gallery below tries to square everything up, thus the chopped off head. Just click on the pictures to blow them up.

Claudia had found this old building in town. Not sure why it’s there, but it’s a run down brick building with a Greek column facade. I’m sure we’ll show more of this building, just to show off the facade a bit. Anyway, next shoot on Tuesday, if Denver doesn’t continue to act like Seattle with all the rain. Cloudy light isn’t bad to shoot in, it’s just not what we were planning.

Tips for your session

We want you to get the most of your photo session.  Follow these simple steps to look great and make yourself stand out.

• Don’t cut your hair the day before the shoot, wait a week after cutting your hair.
• Bring outfits you like.
• Bring casual and more dressy outfits, same with shoes
• Dress in brighter colors, not white
• Bring your CDs or iPOD, we’ll play it on our studio sound system
• If you play an instrument or sport, bring your gear
• Put on makeup prior to arriving, we provide a private dressing room to make adjustments
• You have a cool car or bike, bring it along, we can shoot you with it too
• Be yourself, we’ll make you look your best!

Most of all, bring bright colors, bring your latest clothes; the stuff you look great in. Bring accessories, hats, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarfs, jackets, etc. We want an entire look, not just an outfit. We’ll mix, match, layer to help you create your own unique look! Have fun, you can never bring too much stuff.

Super Models!

One of our most popular session, takes you out of the realm of Senior Portraits onto the set of a fashion magazine or runway show.  Only available with our “Works” session, our Seniors use this to create their modeling portfolio or just show off a little.  With our super model sessions, we prefer to shoot both in the studio and on location.  A makeup artist is provided so you can look your best.  We’ll discuss with you prior to the shoot what type of look you want and consult with you on hair style, wardrobe, accessories, etc.  From a Hollywood movie scene to a fashion magazine spread, we’re prepared to create your look!

Bring your own hot wardrobe or select from ours.  We have unique fashions and keep current with the emerging trends and styles.

Price: $125 (1 1/2 hours, 20 images, 3 finished looks)

We love what we do!! We absolutely, love photographing people, and creating unique art showing not only who you were, but who you’ve become and what you’re about. At Seniors@5280, we work to capture your essence in our photos. We don’t believe in a factory approach to senior pictures like the one on the right; standard sets of poses next to trees, on railroad tracks, against a brick wall or in assembly line sets with a fixed formula. We create a unique look for all of our clients and provide art work rather than simply taking a snapshot and documenting someone standing next to a tree! Seniors@5280 is located in Westminster Colorado. We’re open seven days a week to accommodate your busy schedules.  Business hours are 9:00am to 7:00pm MT. Claudia and Jay, the founders/photographers of Images@5280, will work to set up the best, personalized shoot, style and location for you.

We have studios in Westminster, near downtown Denver and we specialize in location photography.  Most of the photos for our senior’s sessions will be done outdoors.  We use state of the art camera and lighting equipment and use lighting as well as location to create unique and distinctive shots.  Most of our seniors don’t want just the standard poses with the standard backdrops.  They want their photos to be professional and stunning!

This is not only our website, but our blog.  We keep our community and clients informed of our upcoming events, specials and share the details of some of our shoots so you can see what we’re up to!  We began as enthusiastic hobbyist and photography evolved into a passion to capture the greatest and happiest moments in people’s lives.  For our seniors, our photos range from casual to magazine style photoshoots to hollywood posters to supermodels.
